ADS-500 for my closet
Great little product for my bedroom closet. It always seems to be damp in there and had a moldy smell. After only a few hours it doesn't smell anymore and it had a little bit of water in the tray. I just turned it on when i put it in there and i don't have to worry about it.
Works, but not well
I've been using the dehumidifier consistently for the past week. The dehumidifier is running in a medium to small bedroom (with the door closed), with a relative humidity gauge in the room. The humidity may decrease slightly (from 72% to 69%), but the dehumidifier does not seem strong enough to actually dehumidify a whole bedroom, let alone a small apartment.
If you actually want to be able to control the humidity, I would NOT recommend this product. Choose a dehumidifier that is more powerful.
Died in less than a year.
I bought this last summer to use in my RV. I chose it because it has a small footprint and I thought the customer reviews were reasonable. It worked great for the first few months. Now its little lights turn on, it blows but it no longer removes moisture from the air. Arrgh. Of course I tossed all of my documentation. If you only need this to work for a few months, then buy it. If you want a machine that will last, spend more money!
